Parking in the pier lot in Deerfield Beach, Florida costs $3 an hour from Monday 6 a.m. to Friday 4 p.m. and $4 an hour from Friday 4 p.m. to midnight Sunday, the City's parking page says. The City of Deerfield Beach runs the beach parking around the International Fishing Pier, and its parking page sets out the rates by zone. Nobody else we found prints them in one place with the Friday switch, the angler option and the event closures. Here they are, checked Oct. 20, 2026, with sums worked out from the City’s own figures.

The rates (City parking page, checked Oct. 20, 2026)

  • Pier lot (zone 8502) and Kirk Cottrell Pavilion lot (8501): $3 an hour from Monday 6 a.m. to Friday 4 p.m.; $4 an hour from Friday 4 p.m. to midnight Sunday.
  • Everywhere else on the City’s meters: $2 and $3 over the same times.
  • Angler parking, pier lot: $10 per 5 hours, when spaces are free and the bait shop is open.
  • Enforced 24/7, weekends and holidays included. Overstay citation: $30.
  • Pier Parking Lot: $3.00/hour Monday from 6 AM to Friday at 4 PM; $4.00/hour Friday from 4 PM to Midnight on Sunday. Kirk Cottrell Pavilion has the same rates. City of Deerfield Beach: Parking
  • "Everywhere Else" metered: $2.00/hour Monday 6 AM to Friday 4 PM; $3.00/hour Friday 4 PM to Midnight Sunday. Pioneer Park Boat Ramp: $1.00/hour, 24/7. City of Deerfield Beach: Parking
  • Parking zones: 8501 Kirk Cottrell Pavilion Lot; 8502 Pier Parking Lot; 8503 Hillsboro/Fire Station Lot & Areas; 8504 Main/South Beach Lot & Areas; 8505 South of SE 4 Street & West of A1A. City of Deerfield Beach: Parking

Which zone you are in

The City numbers its zones: 8501 Kirk Cottrell Pavilion Lot, 8502 Pier Parking Lot, 8503 Hillsboro/Fire Station Lot and Areas, 8504 Main/South Beach Lot and Areas, and 8505 South of SE 4 Street and West of A1A. The pier lot and the Kirk Cottrell Pavilion lot charge the higher rate. The City’s “Everywhere Else” rate applies to its other meters.

If you hold the City’s Residential Digital beach parking permit, note where it works: the South Beach, Main Beach, Fire Station and Hillsboro lots. The pier lot is not on that list.

  • The Residential Digital (beach) Parking Permit is valid only at South Beach (2025 SE 9th Street), Main Beach (149 SE 21 Avenue, between SE 1 St and SE 2 St), Fire Station (2040 SE 1 Street) and Hillsboro (2048 E. Hillsboro Blvd) lots. The Pier lot is not on the list. City of Deerfield Beach: Parking

The Friday 4 p.m. switch

The weekend rate starts at 4 p.m. on Friday, not on Saturday morning, and runs to midnight Sunday. In the pier lot that is $1 more an hour; elsewhere it is $1 more. Holidays carry no separate rate on the City’s page, and enforcement does not stop for them.

Worked examples

  • Weekday morning, 3 hours: $9 in the pier lot, $6 at an “Everywhere Else” meter.
  • Saturday afternoon, 4 hours: $16 in the pier lot, $12 elsewhere.
  • Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.: the City does not say how a stay that crosses 4 p.m. is billed. If each hour is charged at the rate in force, the pier lot comes to $14.
  • An angler staying 5 hours: $15 at the pier lot meter on a weekday or $20 at the weekend rate, against $10 for angler parking when the bait shop is open and spaces are free. The rod rental package also includes 5 hours in the pier lot, if available.
  • Paying by app: add $0.70 to each transaction, so the weekday pier lot example becomes $9.70.
  • Overstaying: one $30 citation costs as much as 7.5 hours in the pier lot at the weekend rate. Pay for the time you need.
  • "Parking Regulations are enforced 24/7, including weekends and holidays." Each citation for parking beyond the designated time frame carries a $30.00 fine. City of Deerfield Beach: Parking
  • Angler Parking (Pier lot only): $10 per 5 hours, "when available and only when the bait shop is open." City of Deerfield Beach: International Fishing Pier
  • Rod Rental Package $20 ($15 rod only) plus a $25 CASH ONLY refundable deposit with ID. 8 AM – 5 PM only; rods must remain on the pier; package includes rod, 1 pack of $6 bait (as available) and 5-hour parking in the Pier lot (if available). No rod rentals when the Bait Shop is closed. City of Deerfield Beach: International Fishing Pier

How to pay, and where the City’s pages differ

City parking is pay-by-plate. You enter your license plate at a multi-space meter, and Broward Sheriff’s Office parking enforcement checks by plate, so there is no receipt to leave on the dashboard. Meters take Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and coins.

On apps, the City is not consistent. Its parking page lists ParkMobile and PayByPhone, with a $0.70 charge on every app transaction and a phone number for each. A City FAQ answer, recorded in our research on Oct. 20, 2026, names ParkMobile alone as the accepted app. If an app will not take your zone, pay at the meter. The City also warns that its parking signs carry no QR codes, so do not scan one.

  • City parking is Pay-by-Plate (license plate recognition): enter your plate at a multi-space meter; enforcement (Broward Sheriff's Office Parking Enforcement Specialists) verifies by plate, so no dashboard receipt is needed. Meters take Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and coins. City of Deerfield Beach: Parking
  • The city takes ParkMobile and PayByPhone. A standard 70-cent convenience charge applies to every mobile app transaction. Phone payment: 866-727-5312 (ParkMobile) or 888-680-7275 (PayByPhone); text PARK to 77223 for ParkMobile. The city warns its signs do NOT have QR codes. City of Deerfield Beach: Parking

Disabled parking and EV charging

A disabled placard or plate gets up to four free hours at non-designated on-street spaces. In City lots, the free parking is limited to the designated disabled spaces. Misusing a disabled space carries a $250 fine. At the Main Beach lot, FPL stations charge six vehicles at once at no cost for the power, but drivers still pay to park and must pull in forward.
