Can I go to the pier on this date?

Pick a date. We check it against every schedule the City and the other operators publish: the pier's hours and its night-closure notice, fees, rod rentals, pier-lot parking rates, lifeguards, nesting and hurricane season, Pioneer Days closures and Hillsboro Lighthouse tour days.

The published schedules this checker uses

Worked out from schedules checked October 20, 2026: the City of Deerfield Beach's pier, parking, Ocean Rescue, Beach, Sea Turtles, Pioneer Days and Ocean Way Holiday pages, FWC, NOAA's hurricane season dates and the Hillsboro Lighthouse Preservation Society's tour list. Where the City's own pages disagree, the checker says so.

Living in Deerfield Beach

Night closure from Oct. 20, 2026

The City’s pier page says: “As of October 20, 2026, we will be CLOSED SUNSET through SUNRISE until further notice, due to maintenance needs.” It gives no end date. Plan a daylight visit, and call the pier at 954-250-4167 before you go.

Ocean Way Holiday: Thursday, Dec. 3, 2026

Ocean Way Holiday runs 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Main Beach Parking Lot, 149 SE 21st Ave. It is free, and the Santa Parade starts at 5:30 p.m. The City’s page lists the lighting of Ocean Way at 6 p.m. in one place and 7 p.m. in another, and its schedule table says 7 p.m. Parking on the barrier island will be limited, so the City runs a free shuttle from the St. Ambrose lot, 363 SE 12th Ave., from 4:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. City event page.

The parade at 10 a.m. Saturday passes the International Fishing Pier, and fireworks start at 9 p.m. One blurb on the City’s page says the parade is on “Saturday, February 10th”, which does not match the event dates.

Plan around the closures. The Pier Parking Lot and the Main Beach lot close both days, along with Ocean Way from Hillsboro Blvd to SE 4th St, and the pier itself closes on Saturday, Feb. 13. A free shuttle runs from the St. Ambrose lot, 363 SE 12th Ave. City event page.
