A day at the Deerfield Beach pier is simple to plan once you know four times: when the pier is open, when the bait shop rents rods, when lifeguards are on the towers and when parking gets dearer. The planner below builds a day from places with posted details and shows each source.

Plan your Deerfield Beach day
Pick how long you have and what you like. The planner chooses sourced stops near the pier, puts them in order from the pier entrance, and suggests where to park if you are driving.
Or start from one of three ready-made plans:
Pier morning
Rent a rod at the bait shop, fish the pier, then the beach and breakfast next door.
- International Fishing Pier Bait Shop (Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier entrance, 200 NE 21st Ave): The City-run concession at the pier entrance: rod rentals from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. only, bait, tackle, sunscreen and drinks.
- Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier (200 NE 21st Ave): The City's 976-foot pier. Walk out for $2 or fish for $4 (free for some groups with ID). From Oct. 20, 2026 the City closes it sunset to sunrise until further notice.
- Deerfield Beach public beach (Ocean Way / N.E. & S.E. 21st Avenue (both sides of the pier)): The City's guarded beach: one mile with nine lifeguard towers. No swimming or surfing within 150 feet of the pier, and no dogs.
- The Break House (202 NE 21st Ave): Breakfast through dinner next to the pier, in the City-owned building that once held Deerfield Beach Cafe.
Beach and history
The pier and the guarded beach, then the Butler House and an Intracoastal park.
